Following a visit to the Carrera Panamericcana in Mexico last week I have reluctantly decided not to go ahead
with plans to run a trip to the event in 2018.
Although this is an exciting and colourful race which takes in some of the most spectacular cities in Mexico and I
had no security problems whatsoever, I feel that the additional detailed planning required to accommodate a
group of at lest 30 people would be too time consuming and costly to make the project unviable.
The US Grand Prix was outstanding but the cost of the flights from Mexico to Texas and the hotel costs in Austin
are high, so the combination of the two events as planned, would be out of reach of many.
I greatly enjoyed the Pan-Am experience, which in essence is a special stages similar to our own rallies, but it is
difficult to view on many occasions due to the distances involved and the fact that it runs from south to north at
such a pace.
Therefore, because of all these circumstances I have concluded that we would be more beneficial for Déja vu
Motorsport to pursue other projects.
Details of our TITANIC DÉJÀ VU ULSTER 2018 will be announced in the New Year.
